A single family residence that is a study of monolithic volumes of plaster and stone that appear to float above the ground. The site slopes gently to meet the 6,500 square foot building, while the upper level hovers above the glass openings. Solar shades, that veil the upper level and shield from the hot desert sun complete the monoliths, as they shift with the movement of the elements.
